Fall Gauley Season September – October

If you are looking for the ultimate, book at trip on the Gauley River in the Fall.  The Gauley is dam released in the Fall and occasionally during the summer months if the rains are high.  This is big big water and while not for everybody, if you do enjoy thrills, a run on the Gauley is not to be missed.

Upper Gauley River

Some of the biggest, baddest white water around, the Upper Gauley is a thrilling, technically challenging river dreamed of by the most experienced of rafters, kayakers and canoeists.  Steep drops, massive waves and serious consequences for mistakes mean this run is for experienced rafters only!  For those with experience and a passion for whitewater, a trip down the Upper Gauley means a check mark on a life-list.

Lower Gauley River

This is the rough and tumble younger sister of the famous Upper Gauley, offering big thrills on Class IV-V rapids.  For those with rafting experience on rivers like the Lower New, who are looking to take it up a notch, the Lower Gauley River is the perfect choice.
